Erythrodermic psoriasis is very dangerous because almost the entire surface of your skin has become a severe inflammatory rash. Sometimes, it will accompanied by a severe form of pustular psoriasis. However, it is the rarest psoriasis type and often found more among men than women.
Below are some matters that can trigger erythrodermic psoriasis:
- Infection.
- Low calcium levels.
- Strong coal tar preparations.
- The withdrawal of oral corticosteroids.
- Certain medications.
- Excessive alcohol intake.
- Severe sunburn.
- Emotional stress.

| Psoriasis Erythrodermic Symptoms |
Erythrodermic psoriasis may occur suddenly without warning. Most of your skin surface may erupt in fiery red outbreaks (looks like it’s been burned) due to a flare of erythrodermic psoriasis. It will cause severe psoriasis pain and extreme itchy skin.
The complications including:
- Infection.
- Heart failure.
- Loss of protein.
- Swelling of lower legs.
- Hypothermia.
- Dehydration.
- Death.
