Schizophrenia is a complex condition and puzzling illness. There are two broad types: acute schizophrenia and chronic schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia's Characteristics:

- Wandering without direction if not controlled.

When a young adult that is previously healthy suddenly shows increasingly odd behavior over a fairly short period of time, maybe in just a few weeks, they can be categorized as suffering from acute schizophrenia.

Acute schizophrenia can be taking the form of hallucination, disordered thoughts or irrational beliefs for example incoherent or illogical thinking of any degree of severity. People with acute schizophrenia will experience mood disturbance such as anxiety, euphoria, depression or irritability.

In other hand, acute schizophrenia patient will run into inappropriate emotional responses to their surroundings. For example, they may laugh at sad news or appear unconcern in important events.

Below are the most common symptoms of acute schizophrenia:

• Always feel suspicious.
• Lack of vision.
• Having hallucinations of hearing such as music, sounds or voices.
• Thoughts speak louder.
• Experiencing delusions of persecution.
• Have a flat mood.

However, you need to remember that not all these symptoms experienced by acute schizophrenia’s patients.

Chronic schizophrenia is the longer-term state. Usually, people with chronic schizophrenia will:

• Behave odd.
• Having social withdrawal.
• A lack of drive.
• Depression.
• Under activity.
• Neglected appearance.

Schizophrenia patients may spend a long period of time doing nothing when we left them to their own devices. They also may repeat pointless activities over and over again and can neglect themselves very badly.

Similar to the acute state, not all chronic schizophrenia patients experience all these symptoms.
