Be Attentive and Stay Calm

Forming a good relationship of respect with your liver cancer/carcinoma partner’s doctors and nurses is a key factor to manage his/her cancer. When you heard a bad news about your partner’s or family members’ cancer, please do not overly emotional, crying or whining. This will make the doctors afraid to tell you about the truth of the patient’s condition. You need to be calm and listen carefully what the doctors say. It is good if you have a ready question in advance. They will look at you as an intelligent person. If you feel like want to cry, just hold the feeling and you can cry afterward. Don't let them to see you crying.

Emotion Changes

Shock, fear, anger, and disbelief are all the emotions that you will experience when your loved one undergoes his/her treatment, which today may include a liver transplant. Sometimes, when you feel overwhelmed with your situation, please remember that this is a natural feeling. So, take it as a challenge and don’t chide yourself for being emotional. This will make the matters become worse. Rather, you need to seek support and find the help so that you can cope with your emotions and other concerns.

Some people feel comfort talking about the matters with their family members or close friends but there are some people that prefer to talk with people who are outside of their circle or family. You can choose which one that you feel the best for seeking the support network that you need.

The most important thing that you should highlight is, you must always make your loved one feels happy. Do not ask them to make happy but you are the one that responsible to it. This will give them spirit and courage to fight the liver cancer.
