What is microcephaly?
Microcephaly is a condition that can be present at birth in which the baby's head smaller than normal for an infant of that age and gender. "Micro" means small and "cephaly" refers to the head. Children with microcephaly also have a small brain and mental retardation. However, some children with small heads have normal intelligence.

| Microcpehaly Symptoms |
The most obvious symptom of microcephaly sufferer is the head size. Children with microcpehaly will have smaller head size than other children of the same age and sex. For those children that suffer from severe microcephaly, they will have symptoms such as:
- Large ears.
- Visual impairment.
- Backward sloping forehead.
If you notice all the above symptoms in your baby, you need to seek immediate treatment because this syndrome will worsen from time to time. |
