Brain and nervous system conditions are often serious and need medical diagnosis. People who come to us usually do so alongside, not instead of, care from their doctors.
What people ask us about
- Brain injury and its after-effects
- Memory loss and forgetfulness
- Stress and mental overload
- Nerve pain
- Children’s development, including autism and hyperactive behaviour
What neuro acupuncture is
Neuro acupuncture is the centre’s term for acupuncture given with a focus on the nervous system. Fine needles are placed along the body’s meridians with the aim of restoring balance and the flow of Qi. It is paired with Chinese herbal formulas prepared after your reports have been reviewed.
We do not claim that these treatments cure brain disease or injury, and results differ from person to person.
How we work
At The Tole, treatment combines neuro acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The Master’s team reviews your history and any medical reports, then recommends acupuncture, herbal preparations, or both. Herbs are prepared for the individual, using natural herbs and the family’s ancestral formulas.
You can walk in during opening hours without an appointment. If you live far away, email your medical reports and we will advise you on herbs and, where suitable, an intensive course of acupuncture. Herbs can be couriered to any country, usually in 3 to 5 working days. See herbs by post.
See a doctor first if
- Sudden weakness or drooping on one side of the face or body, or slurred speech. Call emergency services immediately (999 in Malaysia)
- A severe headache that comes on suddenly
- Confusion, seizures, or loss of consciousness
Traditional Chinese medicine is offered as a complement to, not a replacement for, medical care. We do not promise a cure or a particular result, and responses vary from person to person. Please keep your doctor informed about any herbs or treatments you use.
