
Autism Foods
To be AVOIDED by Autistic and Asperger’s Syndrome Kids:
- Dairy products, including: milk (no matter whether cow, goat or sheep milk) and any milk based products (e.g. cheese, cream, yogurt, ice cream).
- Cereals other than rice (including e.g. wheat, buckwheat, spelt, oats, rye, quinoa, maize or corn) and products based on or containing such cereals (no matter whether gluten free or not; no matter whether wholegrain or not) including e.g. flour, bread, pasta.
- Sugar (all forms) and sweeteners (such as stevia, aspartame, saccharine, phenylalanine, tagatose) and products containing sugars or sweeteners (e.g. cakes, biscuits, chocolate, ice cream or sorbets, soft drinks, syrups) including sugar coated tablets and cough, cold or flu syrup.
- Natural products or fruits with high sugar content (e.g. honey, maple syrup, mango, lychee, mangosteen, durian, longan, rambutan, pineapple, banana, grape, plum, peach, cherry, nectarine).
- MSG (monosodium glutamate, known in foods as sodium glutamate), a flavour enhancer, widely used in ready-made foods and sauces and in particular in fast food.
- Ice cold foods and drinks.
- Examples for products that are to be avoided for more than one reason (ingredients and/or temperature): ice cream, hamburgers, fast food, ready-made chilli sauce, ready-made tomato sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, soy sauce, mustard, mayonnaise.
ALLOWED:
- Rice (white, brown, black, wholegrain or not) and rice based products (e.g. rice biscuits – as long as they do not contain sugar or other disallowed ingredients), rice noodles.
- Fish.
- Chicken.
- Meat.
- Eggs.
- Vegetables.
- Soy products.
- Vinegar (all sorts).
- Olive, sunflower, rapeseed, walnut oils.
- Self-made condiments or sauces avoiding the disallowed ingredients mentioned above (e.g. self-made tomato sauce and mayonnaise).
- Green apples and oranges, pears, melon and papayas that aren’t sweet, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, pumpkin.

Autism Way of Play
- Allow your child to run around for 10 to 15 minutes 1 hour after drinking the brain powder herbs.
- Always prepare to teach your kids the things you want them to learn and then do it.
- Try your best not make your child angry or upset. If you do, this will make them think about the anger or upset long into the future and they will remain upset longer.
- Try to distract your child with other things if they are angry or want if they want to do something they should not do.
- Always try to make your child in a happy mood with play.
- Reward your child to encourage them to do something.
- Play with your child in front of the mirror; try to teach them to make different types of facial expressions.
- Dance with your child in front of a mirror.
- Teach your child to specifically ask for what they want, not just using the word, “want, want”, try to make them ask for the thing they want.
- If your child likes music, try to sing with their liking phase and things.
- If your child is unable to communicate, try to sing their favorite songs with expressions or messages that you want to tell them.
- Always support your child’s interests as they have demonstrated to you.
- Always encourage your child to play with other kids and others kids to play with them.
- Tell them a story that just happened and explain to them in a fun and teaching manner.
- Do not allow your child to watch television for a long time, preferably half an hour a day.
