What clinicians look for
ADHD is diagnosed by a doctor, and the signs need to be present in more than one setting, such as at home and at school.
- Inattention: easily distracted, forgetful, disorganised, often losing things
- Hyperactivity: fidgeting, leaving a seat, excessive running or climbing
- Impulsivity: blurting out answers, interrupting, difficulty waiting a turn
What we offer
Neuro acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, prepared for each child, can be taken up in person at our centre or, for families abroad, through our herbs-by-post service. Each child’s needs and pace are different, and we make no promise of a particular outcome.

How we work
At The Tole, treatment combines neuro acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The Master’s team reviews your history and any medical reports, then recommends acupuncture, herbal preparations, or both. Herbs are prepared for the individual, using natural herbs and the family’s ancestral formulas.
You can walk in during opening hours without an appointment. If you live far away, email your medical reports and we will advise you on herbs and, where suitable, an intensive course of acupuncture. Herbs can be couriered to any country, usually in 3 to 5 working days. See herbs by post.
See a doctor first if
- A child who has not yet been assessed by a paediatrician or child psychiatrist
- Hyperactivity together with sleep problems, mood changes or aggression
- Any change in your child’s medication
